Privacy policy

Anisya Impact Pte Ltd (“Anisya”, “we”, “us”) operates anisya.com and the Anisya Facebook Messenger service. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use our platform.

1. What we collect

We collect information you provide directly:

  • Account information — name, email address, phone number, nationality
  • Profile data — skills, work experience, salary expectations, profile photo, short introduction, employment history
  • Messages — conversations between employers and workers on the platform
  • Personality assessments — responses to HEXACO and work-style questionnaires used for compatibility matching
  • Support requests — messages sent through our support system or Facebook Messenger
  • Payment information — processed securely by Stripe; we do not store card details

We also collect some information automatically:

  • Profile views — which employers viewed which worker profiles
  • Usage data — pages visited, features used, device type
  • Facebook Messenger data — when you message our Facebook page, we receive your Facebook sender ID and message content to provide automated assistance via our AI assistant, Ani

2. How we use your data

  • Matching — to connect employers with suitable workers based on skills, preferences, and personality compatibility
  • Communication — to facilitate messaging between employers and workers, and to send you notifications about your account
  • Platform improvement — to understand how users interact with the platform and improve the experience
  • AI assistance — our AI assistant Ani uses your profile data to provide personalised help. Conversations with Ani (in-app and via Facebook Messenger) are processed by Anthropic’s Claude API
  • Emails — transactional emails (password resets, new messages), and occasional marketing emails (platform updates, job opportunities). You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time
  • Safety — to detect and prevent misuse, fraud, and policy violations

3. Who we share data with

We share your data only as necessary to operate the platform:

  • Other users — your public profile is visible to registered users of the opposite role (employers see worker profiles and vice versa). Your email and phone are never shown publicly
  • Stripe — for payment processing (employer subscriptions only)
  • Anthropic — conversation data is sent to Claude for AI-powered chat assistance. Anthropic does not use this data to train their models
  • Google — for authentication (Google Sign-In) and translation services
  • Resend — for transactional email delivery
  • Meta — Facebook Messenger interactions are subject to Meta’s data policies
  • Amazon Web Services — for media storage (profile photos, documents)
  • PostHog — we use PostHog analytics to understand how authenticated users interact with the platform (pages visited, features used, onboarding progress). Analytics are only active once you are signed in; we do not track anonymous visitors. No sensitive form inputs (such as salary or ID numbers) are captured

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or necessary for safety purposes.

Messenger conversation history is retained for up to 90 days to provide contextual assistance.

5. Your rights

You can:

  • Access your data — view your profile and download your information from your account settings
  • Correct your data — edit your profile at any time
  • Delete your account — from the Profile page, which removes your data from the platform and search index
  • Unsubscribe from marketing emails via the link in any email
  • Object to data processing — contact us at the email below

6. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS/SSL), secure password hashing (bcrypt), token-based authentication, and restricted access to databases and internal services. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe and never touches our servers.

7. Cookies and analytics

We use a single authentication cookie (“token”) to keep you signed in. Once signed in, we use PostHog analytics to collect usage data (pages visited, features used, onboarding steps completed) to improve the platform. PostHog analytics are only initialised after you log in and do not track you on public pages. No sensitive inputs are recorded.

8. Children

Anisya is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notification. The “last updated” date at the top reflects when the policy was last revised.
