How Anisya uses artificial intelligence responsibly.
Anisya uses artificial intelligence to help domestic workers and employers in Singapore find better matches and navigate the employment process. We take this responsibility seriously. This policy explains how we use AI, what safeguards are in place, and what you can expect.
1. Disclosure — you are talking to an AI
Ani, the assistant you interact with on Anisya and through Facebook Messenger, is an AI-powered tool — not a human. Ani is designed to be helpful, warm, and conversational, but it is important that you know you are interacting with technology, not a person.
2. What AI is used for
Anisya uses AI in the following ways:
- Conversational onboarding — Ani guides new users through setting up their profile in a natural, step-by-step conversation
- Knowledge base answers — Ani answers questions about work permits, salary expectations, rest days, and the hiring process using verified information
- Worker recommendations — Ani helps employers search for workers who match their household needs
- Content translation — Ani translates platform content into Indonesian, Tagalog, and other languages so workers with limited English can access the same information
- Blog content — AI assists in drafting blog articles, which are always reviewed and approved by a human before publication
- Support triage — AI helps categorise and draft initial responses to support requests, which are reviewed by our team
3. AI does not make decisions for you
Anisya's AI does not make hiring decisions, reject candidates, or determine employment outcomes. It provides information and facilitates connections. The decision to hire, message, or engage with another user is always yours.
Compatibility scores between employers and workers are based on stated preferences and profile information — they are suggestions, not judgements. A lower compatibility score does not mean a worker is unsuitable.
4. Fairness and bias
We are aware that AI systems can reflect or amplify biases present in their training data. We take the following steps to mitigate this:
- Search results are based on objective criteria (skills, experience, salary, availability) — not on nationality, ethnicity, or appearance
- Ani is instructed to treat all workers as capable adults and never frame them as helpless or in need of rescue
- We monitor AI outputs for discriminatory language or patterns
- Compatibility scoring is transparent — employers can see what factors contribute to a match

5. Data and privacy
Conversations with Ani are processed by Anthropic's Claude API. Anthropic does not use your conversations to train their AI models. Your data is transmitted securely and is not shared with third parties for advertising or profiling purposes.

6. Human escalation
Ani is designed to recognise when it cannot help. When this happens, it will offer to connect you with our human support team. You can also reach us directly at any time by submitting a support request through the app or emailing hello@anisya.com.
All AI-drafted support responses are reviewed by a human before being sent to users.
7. Limitations
Ani does not provide legal, financial, immigration, or medical advice. While it draws on verified knowledge base articles about Singapore employment regulations, it may occasionally produce inaccurate or incomplete information. For matters relating to work permits, contracts, or disputes, we recommend consulting the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) or a qualified professional.
8. Continuous improvement
We regularly review how AI is used across the platform. This includes monitoring for accuracy, fairness, and user satisfaction. We welcome feedback — if something Ani said was unhelpful, inaccurate, or concerning, you can flag it directly in the chat or contact us at hello@anisya.com.
9. Alignment with Singapore AI governance
Anisya's approach to AI is guided by Singapore's National AI Strategy and IMDA's Model AI Governance Framework. We are committed to transparency, accountability, and human oversight in all our AI systems.
